Playgroup Facilitator’s Training for NFN Parents!

The heart of what Natick Family Network offers is programming for parents facilitated BY parents.  Please consider volunteering to facilitate a 6 – 8 week “play to learn group” (with your child participating) this fall or winter.  No professional experience is necessary.  Natick Family Network offers you a nurturing and relaxed training to familiarize you with best practices and helpful tips to run a group for your peers, and staff is available to support you in planning activities for your session.

You may choose to run a group for parents with children close in age to your own child (like: Jeepers Creepers—for children 6 – 12 months old; Wonderful Ones—for children 12 – 18 months old; Pitter Patter—for children 18 – 24 months old; Time for Twos—for children 24 – 36 months old; etc.), OR you may wish to develop a playgroup on a specific activity you enjoy (physical gym play, arts & crafts, music, story time, etc.).   Weekly groups can be scheduled on the weekday of your choice at a range of times throughout the day.

The next Playgroup Facilitators’ Training will be held on Thursday, August 13, 12 noon – 2 pm, in the NFN playroom.  A light lunch will be provided.  Judy Dixon, Program Coordinator, will facilitate the training and will provide you with a variety of materials and resources to guide your preparation.  Call the NFN office to register:  508-655-2557.

Can’t make it?  Call anyway to get your name on our list of potential facilitators, and let us know what training dates/times might better fit your schedule.  We’ll be scheduling future trainings to best meet the needs of our interested parents.
