Free parent workshop offered by Natick Early Childhood Network

Wednesday, April 6, 2011 from 7:00 – 8:30pm at NECN, 179 Boden Lane, Natick.

The workshop, entitled Talking About Touching will include a viewing of the film, What Do I Say Now? and a discussion to assist parents in talking with their children about personal safety rules and touching safety.  Facilitated by Judith A. Dixon, M.Ed. and Talking About Touching trainer.

Reminder: Register for Spring Programs Now!

Last week, you received an email about our Spring 2011 newsletter and activities with no link to take you to the information on our website.  Oops!   We don’t want anyone to miss out on our Registration Lottery Deadline of Wednesday, March 30, so here we go again:

Descriptions and details on our spring play-to-learn groups, parent workshops, weekend playgroups and our annual Family Appreciation Night can all be found here.   And finally, our April – June 2011 Calendars are where you’ll see the new Drop-In and Open Gym times for spring.

You can print this registration form to bring or mail to our office (179 Boden Lane, Natick), or you can call us at 508-655-2557 to register.  Please leave your details on voicemail if we’re unable to answer your call.

The deadline is next Wednesday, March 30 to register for any program or group that interests you (other than Drop-In or Open Gym).  We’ll do our registration lottery on Thursday 3/31 and call you ASAP to let you know the results.  Happy registration!

Walk Into the Book is almost here!!!

Hello Natick Families!

I hope you are getting as excited as I am about this event! Sunday, March 20th at 2pm at the Morse Institute Library, we will reveal our “mystery” book! We have a lot of great activities lined up for you and your children and a special musical performance by Philip Alexander!

We are still looking for donations for our raffle baskets, you can find out what’s left by clicking here! Donations must be in to the NECN office or have other arrangements by Tuesday, March 15th so we have time to put the baskets together.

We also are still looking for 4 volunteers to man tables at the event, as well as a set up and clean up crew. The set up will begin at 1p and clean up will start immediately following the event.

Lastly, we have the materials for our activities so if you are interested and able to help us prepare some of the craft activities please contact me at 508-655-2557 or ltarrant@accept.org. Preparation can all be done from home and would involve cutting and pasting.

Thank you once again for all your support! I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to work with families like yours here in Natick :)

Walk Into the Book- Raffle Baskets

Hello Natick Families!

We are getting close to our wonderful family literacy event, Walk Into the Book which is Sunday, March 20th from 2-4p at the Morse Institute Library. If you are interested attending with your family, there is still space available! Call today to reserve your spot 508-655-2557!

This year at the event we will be raffling off multiple gift baskets and we need your help to fill them! We currently have a registry of items needed, to view and reserve those items click here! If you are unable to donate items we will also accept monetary donations to purchase items on our list.  All donations must be in by Tuesday, March 15th so our lovely parent volunteer has time to put the baskets together.

We need your help to make Walk Into the Book a truly inspired event! Thank you for your support in our commitment to offer support to families in the Natick community!

Thinking Ahead!

Hello Natick Families!

This is a very exciting time here at NECN! We have a great family literacy event coming up March 20th from 2-4p at the Morse Institute Library called Walk Into The Book and we still have space available for families to register! Call today for more information 508-655-2557!

Additionally, we are in the process of renewing our grant for next year (July 1, 2011- June 30, 2012).  To help us in our planning, we want to hear from you to find out how we can better meet the needs of your family!
